ARIZONA VIDEO GAME SHOWCASE PROMISES TO BE BIGGEST YET
Game CoLab returns to Phoenix Comicon to showcase video game talent from Arizona and beyond.
Game CoLab is hosting the third Arizona Video Game Showcase (AZVGS) at the 2016 Phoenix Comicon from June 2nd - 5th, in the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
The AZVGS 2016 will take place during Phoenix Comicon convention hours and is free with the purchase of a Phoenix Comicon pass. Twenty-six video game developers from Arizona and beyond will showcase their games and be available to the public to answer questions about their craft.
In addition to the main showcase area, Game CoLab will run parallel panel sessions with industry experts on how to get into the video game industry and what the current state of the Arizona video game industry is like. Make sure to be there to get an early glimpse into the results of the Arizona industry survey Game CoLab completed in April 2016.
The Arizona video game industry is seeing a resurgence and Phoenix Councilman Daniel Valenzuela will be showing his support as an MC during the first-ever AZVGS Awards Ceremony held on June 4th. After celebrating our finest, join us for the AZVGS Industry After Party at The Lustre Rooftop Bar at Hotel Palomar with sponsors DUULand, Rare Labs, and music by Adventureface.
With so many of Arizona's finest video game developers in 2,000 sq ft of showroom, AZVGS 2016 promises to be the biggest celebration of our industry to date.
"The industry survey we just conducted found that, after funding, marketing, public relations and talent were ranked as the top pain points for local video game developers. We work hard throughout the year to help with all of those, but our largest and most fun endeavor is hosting the AZVGS. Now in our second year of collaboration, Phoenix Comicon continues to be a strong ally in our mission to empower and unite video game developers in Arizona and beyond. In 2015, Phoenix Comicon saw over 70,000 participants, and video game developers participating in this year's AZVGS are looking forward to getting in front of a good number of those fans to share their passions and sell their games.
